Game Warriors is seeking several enthusiastic Code Mentors to join our dynamic team. As a Mentor, you will directly engage with students in a friendly, encouraging manner, helping them develop new skills and explore their creativity. If you are patient, creative, and skilled at problem-solving, with a passion for working with children in areas like coding, high-tech gadgets, or art and design, then this could be the perfect role for you. We aim to provide a fun, safe, and rewarding environment where our students can thrive.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete the training curriculum and become familiar with the material.
- Cultivate a positive and safe learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
- Assess student’s skill levels and capabilities to make sure they are always challenged, but not overwhelmed.
- Provide feedback to parents about their children’s accomplishments
- Keep learning environment clean and organized
Qualifications:
- History working with children 8 and up is a plus
- Leadership experience a plus
- Fun and friendly to be around and loves working with children and fellow co-workers
- Knowledge about gaming, coding, digital art a plus, or the ability to quickly acquire these skills
- Willing to work between the approximate hours of 4pm – 7pm weekdays and 10am-1pm on Saturdays
Compensation: $12.00 – $16.00 per hour
